This place deserves a 4.5 stars at least. We've been wanting to go a long time, but only made time tonight when someone is having a birthday. And this place didn't disappoint! The food is great. Taste isn't overpowering and very consistent. Servings are generous. Prices are reasonable. Service is great and friendly. Place is quite quaint too...cute. Ample parking. Thanks guys!
ENKI'S FUN TECHNO STUFF (EnkiTrillionaire)
We were the regulars there before COVID but after that because of the change of lifestyle, we seldom went. In addition, the chef at that time went back to his hometown, and we didn't prefer the taste of the food cooked by the new chef. We wanted to try again after so long and luckily the previous chef was there.
We ordered Salted Egg Prawns, Hainan Chicken (no rice) and char kuey teow.
The prawns and the kuey teow were really good but the chicken was so so only. However, it's not easy to make real good hainan chicken in Auckland (can't speak for other places) because of the types of chicken available here.
It was still a great experience.

What a delicious meal! The curry laksa is amazing - especially on a cold winter night. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Curry Laksa is so yummy so far is my most favourite in Auckland. The Fried Dough Stick is so crispy and tasty too.

Authentic Malay Flavors at Kampung Style Restaurant
Indulging in the flavors of Malaysia, I recently visited a charming kampung-style restaurant that left me utterly satisfied. From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of freshly cooked dishes tantalized my senses.
The authenticity of the food spoke volumes, each dish bursting with flavor and prepared with utmost freshness. From the aromatic spices to the tender meats, every bite was a journey through Malaysian culinary tradition.
Portion sizes were generous, ensuring that no one leaves hungry. The quality of the ingredients used deserves a solid 10/10 rating - a testament to the chef's dedication to excellence.
Whether you prefer the cozy indoor seating or the refreshing outdoor area shielded from the cold winds by blinds, the ambiance adds to the dining experience.
Not to be overlooked is the impeccable service provided by the professional staff. Attentive yet unobtrusive, they ensured a seamless dining experience from start to finish.
In conclusion, my experience at this Malay-style kampung restaurant was nothing short of delightful. With such remarkable food and service, I have no doubt that I'll be returning for more culinary adventures.
